HB Glass Boot Stein 2L

"These boots are made for drinking"

Size: 2 Liter

Drinking out of a "Bierstiefel" (Beer Boot) is a German tradition that some say dates back to the 14th century in Heidelberg, Germany.  It’s said that fraternities would compete against one another in saber duels and after the competition was over would get together and drink out of their boots.

Another theory is that soldiers would pass around a leather boot filled with beer before engaging the enemy in battle.  The tradition dictates that one should flick the boot before and after drinking from it to bring good luck.  A glass version of the boot was employed during World War II where American soldiers were introduced to the tradition.

Have a truly authentic Bavarian experience with one of our glass boots! PROST!
